State Bank of India has been adjudged the Best Bank of the Year 2008 by London-based ‘The Banker´ magazine of Financial Times group. The survey was conducted on the basis of intensive research and analysis of financials and performance by the magazine.

 

Sir Gulam Noon 72, known as UK's Curry King, because of his ready-meals company, recommended Britain close its borders to all immigrants for up to ten years to prevent potential racial unrest in the country.

 

One of various initiatives to be launched by Delhi's Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre, a public-private venture of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs and the Confederation of Indian Industry announced in Muscat that they will launch a 'Diaspora Knowledge Network'.
