Nearly 1300 new vehicles join the crowded roads of Kerala every day, the state’s latest economic review revealed.

 

Kerala has announced a Non-resident Keralite Welfare Fund, with a provision of Rs 30m in the annual State Budget.

 

The Finance Minister has also made a provision of Rs.2 million for the first International Youth Festival proposed for the NRI children and youth.

 

Kerala stood second in language skills of children in a mid-term national survey on learning achievement of class -V children .

 

The Technopark here is organising Kerala IT.Com 2008 and National e-Governance Programme (NeGP) Advocacy Conference from March 13 to 15 at the Park.

 

Kerala is all set to become the first state in the country to completely banish Microsoft and allow only GNU/Linux free software to be used in the mandatory IT test at the state SSLC examinations that half a million students will appear.
